Dr. Charles Corfman
A Commitment to Holistic Health Care
Dr. Charles Corfman grew up immersed in a chiropractic family, where the principles of the chiropractic lifestyle were lived and embraced. With a deep understanding of the power of chiropractic care, Dr. Corfman witnessed firsthand how it could relieve various health concerns, from bicycle accidents to headaches. However, he also recognized the importance of a multifaceted approach to healthcare when necessary.
Inspired by his exceptional father, who dedicated over 40 years to chiropractic practice, Dr. Charles Corfman developed a profound appreciation for holistic health care. His father's passion and dedication instilled in him a desire to follow his own path while upholding the values of chiropractic. Witnessing his father's positive impact on patients' lives, Dr. Corfman was motivated to continue the legacy and share the benefits of chiropractic with others.
Education
Education played a crucial role in Dr. Charles Corfman's journey. Choosing to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic, the oldest chiropractic college in the world, held great significance for him. Walking the halls where the Developer of Chiropractic, B.J. Palmer, once walked, he felt a profound sense of privilege. During his time at Palmer College, Dr. Corfman encountered one of his father's teachers, Dr. Schmeidel, which further reinforced his connection to chiropractic heritage. Overcoming numerous challenges throughout his rigorous education, Dr. Corfman's unwavering determination propelled him toward becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC).
Family Life
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Charles Corfman cherishes his family. He has been happily married to his wife Kim for 30 years, and together they have a daughter named Carly. Although they tragically lost Carly's twin sister, Mackenzie, at a young age, their bond remains strong. Carly recently graduated from the University of Alabama and now pursues a career in automotive merchandising. Kim actively contributes to the clinic two days a week. The family also includes two beloved dogs, Cooper (Golden Doodle) and Ginger (Springer Doodle).
Deeply committed to his community, Dr. Corfman actively participates in various roles. For nearly a decade, he represented his profession as a delegate to the Alabama State Chiropractic Association. Dr. Charles Corfman currently serves on the board of directors for the United Cerebral Palsy Center of the Shoals. In his leisure time, he enjoys reading, tending to his yard, attending Alabama football games, and occasionally playing golf.
